Local:  We take on full-service projects located in Halifax, Chester, Lunenburg, Hubbards, Mahone Bay, Kingsburg, LaHave, Liverpool and along the South Shore to Shelburne.  Long Distance:  For all other NS locations and out of Province projects we're happy to take on long distance projects and are extremely adapt at working remotely, with travel scheduled as required.

For Remote Property Owners

We offer turn-key design services for seasonal property owners throughout provincial Nova Scotia and the Maritimes.  As a local Designer and homeowner from away, Carol shares your passion for the East Coast and brings that experience and perspective to your project, relating first hand to your expectations.  If your property is in need of a full-interior overhaul, cosmetic updates, or requires furnishing from top to bottom with all the essentials - our niche is catering to property owners from out of Province or Country.  Our approach is unique with results that are far from cookie cutter. Respecting your timeline and budget we create high quality, personalized spaces appropriate to the style and setting of your home.  We're happy to send you typical costs and timelines for turnkey solutions.

Our Process & Getting Started

We work directly with homeowners or collaborate with Builders or Architects on project based work.   Each project inquiry we receive is assessed for its suitability with our process and design potential, in return we'll schedule an introductory call to learn more about your needs and discuss our design process.  Every project of interest we then pursue begins with a Project Consultation to tour your space and assess your requirements. In followup we’ll provide you with our design recommendations outlined in a defined scope of work along with a proposal for our Design Services.

Step 1:

INTRODUCTORY CALL

A complimentary call with our Principal Designer, Carol Reed, and receive an introduction package. This 20 minute call is an opportunity for you to share more details about your project and learn more about how we work. We’ll discuss your needs, timeline, location logistics, answer questions about our design process, and determine if our services could be a good fit for each other before taking the next step.

Step 2:

Project Consultation

Every new project begins with an in-person Consultation with Carol to assess your project’s requirements and wish list. During this 2 hour session we’ll do a walk-through of the spaces (or new build plans), identify problem areas, suggest potential improvements and recommend possible solutions. We’ll also define the extent of work, discuss preferred Contractors as well as timelines and budget expectations. 

In followup we’ll provide you with a Design Proposal Package that will contain the critical decision-making information you need to get your project ball rolling:

1. Design Recommendations - outlined in a Detailed Scope of Work

2. Budget Information - ranges for similar scope of work

3. Our Design Contract and Standard Terms & Conditions - outlining our process, policies and procedures.

4. A Proposed Scope of Services & Fees - for design and planning your project outlining next steps and target dates
   

FEE:  $650 - 1,050 + HST  /partial or whole home

Step 3:

FULL-SERVICE DESIGN

Your project design experience begins! We execute every step of your proposed Scope of Design Services and oversee the execution of the design plans from beginning to end, so you can focus on your daily responsibilities and just experience the exciting process of seeing the design plans come to life.  Our high level of standards ensures your investment dollars add maximum value to your home and day to day life.
